After a complete refurbishment lasting over 18 months The Fir Tree Country Hotel, Bar and Restaurant
reopened its doors in August of 2017. The owners, George and Annette, and all the team look forward
to welcoming you to our beautiful, new surroundings.
You may be here for a long or short stay in the hotel, having a meal in our restaurant or just a
quiet drink in the bar. But whatever your reason for visiting The Fir Tree Country Hotel we feel
confident that your first visit won’t be your last.
Bar and Restaurant
The bar at the Fir Tree Country Hotel has been on the site for well over 120 years now and
is a landmark in the village and surrounding area. The restaurant, which has been completely
refurbished, now seats over 70 people comfortably.
Our main menu features many classic dishes all designed with an individual twist by our executive
chef. There is also our bar menu offering many home cooked favourites and of course a menu for the
If you want something lighter, our sandwich and salads selection will be the perfect choice for lunch.
Last, but by no means least, there's our, already famous, Sunday Carvery, which is as impressive as
it is satisfying. Cracking roast pork, succulent lamb, roast beef, roast turkey and honey glazed gammon are our
featured meats, accompanied with choice of eight vegetables, amazing Yorkies and lashings of rich pan gravy.
