The Fir Tree Country Hotel – About Us
We are situated in the beautiful village of Fir Tree, County Durham. Located only 12 miles from the UNESCO Heritage City of Durham and a short 10 minute drive from the world class attraction Kynren.
In 2016 The Fir Tree Country Hotel underwent a complete refurbishment. The Bar and Restaurant re-opened its doors in August of 2017.
Owners George and Annette, and the team look forward to welcoming you to The Fir Tree Country Hotel.
The Bar
Welcome to our friendly and welcoming bar. The bar at the Fir Tree Country Hotel has been on the site for well over 120 years now and is a landmark in the village and surrounding area. The restaurant, which has been completely refurbished, now seats over 70 people comfortably.
The Restaurant
Our comfortable restaurant seats over 70 people and is a popular place for Dinner, Sunday Lunch and Lunches. Booking is reccommended.
