Durham Cathedral

Locomotion Museum
The Fir Tree Country Hotel is situated just a short drive from the national railway museum’s Shildon site. Perfect for all ages with visiting steam engines including The Flying Scotsman and A4 Pacific and many resident engines. In 2024 Locomotion opened it’s new engine shed inspired hall.
